| Cinco de Mayo Party Planning on the 5th of May we commemorate Mexico's victory over the French in 1862 - not to be confused with Mexico's Independence Day, which is celebrated every 16th of September. Since red, green and white are the colors of Mexico's flag, decorate your party space in these colors using crepe paper, flowers, piņatas and balloons.
