A Holiday Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) party celebration is always fun.
As Rosh Hashanah is a big celebration is good to start planning ahead and get all those party favors together. Start by putting together a guest list and making imprinted invitations. Have party favors for all age groups. For the children have imprinted New Year coloring books, engraved pencils and pens. For the adults have some engraved coffee mugs that say “Happy New Years” and a bag with baked goods. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year and it takes place in the month of Tishri. Tishri is the first month of the Jewish calendar and means "Beginning". Rosh Hashanah commemorates the anniversary of creation and is a day in which the whole world is judged for the coming year. It is a time of restricted rejoicing because celebrations are muted in acknowledgment of the great judgement taking place. It is customary for the observance to take place at the beginning of nightfall on the day before Rosh Hashanah. During Rash Hashanah it is also customary to eat foods, during the evening meals, that symbolize sweetness, blessings and abundance. The Shofar is one of the most visual symbols of Rosh Hashanah. It is used to awaken the heart of every Jew no matter how old to repentance and a closer relationship to God. Enjoy Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) parties by planning ahead so during your celebration you are not running around setting up! Do a party walk through the day prior.
